Those of you who have started blogging for money for at least 5 months would understand what I’m talking about. The urge to start another blog project, but this time, you tell yourself it’s not going to be just a Google Adsense blog. Something else…

Even for those of you who prefer to stick to adsense, you may want to start blogging on another niche, this time it’s a money maker. ‘Mesothelioma’!! It costs an advertiser around $200 on this keyword alone so what can go wrong?

Your Latest Ambition
5 months down the road when you actually did survive the dreaded 190 days of blogging, you might start seeing earnings coming from Google Adsense. Even a trickle convinces you that your effort is indeed real and this blogging thing may one day bring you out from your dreaded 9 to 5 job. Now, ever wondered what another blog would be able to do to your PPC income from Google Adsense?

There are people who make money flipping domain names. Business model is simple enough. They try to register pretty good domain names and resell them for a profit. Some sell enough to afford them into buying higher value ‘generic’ domain names and try to resell them at premium prices. Think Blog.com or Blogging.com. In other words, they sell thoroughbreds.

We bloggers are but a small part of the so called domain developers. Blogging for money involves putting renewing contents about a certain niche topic and then try to earn income from this, Adsense PPC or in the active selling of tangible and intangibles. The beauty about blogging is you don’t actually need a beautiful name for a domain to see early success. Just buy any name, put in relatively sufficient contents, SEOs and you will be able to turn a donkey into a horse. However, the key in this is about focus and concerted efforts. Don’t forget the keywords in your domain name though.

I got this idea from a domainer cum blogger called Tia Wood. Imagine drops of water hitting at the same targetted point of a mountain for perhaps a hundred years. No matter how soft the effort, after a hundred years, a dent will form. Now guess what would happen if these same amount of droplets scattered in a 100 meter radius for 100 years…forget about a dent, not even a weed would grow.

If you are alone, working on your blog for 2 hours a day because you have a full time job, you should see minor results within 5 months of blogging. I’m talking about fairly worthwhile niche with pay per click advertising at around $2 to $6. With super competitive niches similar to mesothelioma, it’s a different ball game. Gosh…you might need a small team to work on one single blog in this kind of niches…asbestos poisoning, asbestos cancers etc.

Resources
All businesses need a business plan. If you don’t know how to do a business plan, just keep this in mind. How much resources do you want to allocate to your blogging effort in terms of time, manpower and money?

Free CMS systems like WordPress, Joomla and Drupal have put a lot of webdevelopers out of job for the last 5 years. But for those of us who build money blogs, WordPress is a gift from heaven. Let’s put this in perspective:
Previously, you will either need to learn html or hire a freelance web designer to put up a blog template for you. With a logo design, this could easily set you back by $ 3000 to $ 4000.

Now, you can totally forget about hiring a web developer. Therefore all you need for your first blog is:
domain name (hand-registered) – $ 9.00
Web-hosting – $ 7.00 x 12 = $84
your time – 2 hours every night for research and blogging

The game change when you start your second blog or a third blog. It’s still cheap in the domain registering and web-hosting. Multiple blogs and websites can be used in one web-host(unless your website turned into a Facebook or twitter). But your knowledge and time is the limiting factor. Most of you will tell me to get some freelancers to do the research and writing for you. Now, you have to really think business at this stage. How do you want to finance these latest efforts of yours? From your first blog’s earnings?

I wouldn’t advise you to dig into your savings just yet at this point. Try to finance your effort from a portion of your monthly salary if you can. Find out how much a good writer will cost you in Freelancer.com or elance.com. From here, calculate how much you would have to fork out per month if you want to put in 2 to 3 posts per week to boost your blog’s standing.

This is no rocket science when it comes to building money making blogs. It’s all about calculating how much can you stretch yourself in this marathon business . Good luck!

Happy New Year to all bloggers out there. Today is 2nd January 2011. Have you taken action yet? Have you started to make money blogging?

Ok, ok. It’s not my style to pester you into blogging if you really don’t want to because the choice is yours. However, if you are interested in making one of those simple money making blogs like a Google Adsense Blog, here are some suggestion for you in 2011:

1. Blogs about women’s beauty care

Like brick and mortar, it’s the easiest to make money from women. The fairer sex can skim on food and health but when it comes to beauty care, they are possesed. If you happen to be an expert in skin care, teeth whitening, breast enlargement…these are lucrative market. As women get more affluent and web-savvy, it’s about time to start an information site about important body parts of ladies that can be spent ‘renovating’.

2. Baby Care

Parents around the world will usually give the best thing in lives to their little ones. As a parent myself, I’ve spent a fortune on diapers, child care, health insurance, study funds and education on my boys. Again, as families grow smaller in size and both parents going out to work supporting the family, start a blog about babies and childcare. Are you still wondering why Amazon would buy up Diapers.com for USD 545 Million?

3. Dogs

Not all pet niches are lucrative and worth your time and resources. I’m not talking about your personal pet dog’s blog by the way. I’m refering to niches on ‘Dog’s Care’. Let’s face it, some of us actually treat our pet Labrador better than the way we treat our parents. Just go to Bangkok or Taipei one fine day and see for yourselves how doggy care centers have spruce up in these Asian metropolitans; from doggy bath, doggy nail care to doggy wellness. Time to give Lassy some well-deserved attention.

4. Healthcare

Diseases and disorders have been haunting mankind since the beginning of time. Human is fascinated with the elixir of life. If you happen to be a healthcare worker and is somehow familiar with diseases, you have got yourself a great niche. Cancers, autism, treatments….

5. Financial Products

Ever heard of Madoff and the story of how this guy fleeced the Global public on billions of hard earned retirement funds? Fear and greed have always been playing a part on our life. Fear of not having enough for retirement, greed for more, fear of sickness and not having enough to pay for the hospital bill… Yes. Google adsense blog about finance like insurance, investment vehicles, forex are all but some of the financial niches that command great premiums from PPC payment. If you happen to be an investment banker or insurance broker who understand your products, start a blog about your expertise. One day, your money making blogs about auto-insurance will still make you money after you have give your boss the boot.

6. Green Technology and Green Technologies

The green movement is getting stronger as our Mother Earth is showing signs of fatigue from pollution. Energy preservation is a market growing exponentially at this moment. Wind energy, solars, green building…. Make a list and maybe if you have enough passion about these topics, you can start to make money blogging out of one of the niche.

7. Auto-care

If women are all about beauty care, we men will be in droves on our cars. If you are a man, ask yourself, what sets your eyes roving. For me, ….it’s that V-6 Turbo that zoomed by my Nissan Sentra. Car care, car insurance should be your call if you love drifting.

8. DON’T WASTE TIME ON SEX

Yes, sex sells but if you happen to be just a newbie, for get about this fiery niche. Unless if you happen to have your own dildo shop, don’t start a sex blog. Google loath it.

9. Home Business

Everybody, including you n me are waiting for that faithful hour when we can fire our boss. If you think you have a knack for certain activities that can make money from home…don’t wait. Traffics would be all over you in several short months

10. Latest Technologies

The craze on iPhones and iPads, games , latest phones. If you are a geek of technologies, you are in luck. Tech niche is one of the most followed topic by the global audience and therefore, a blog about the latest mobile phones will definitely attract audience.

These niches maybe lucrative only if you have the stamina to grow your blog. Go into one of these not because I said they are profitable, because all profitable niches are highly competitive. Identify the topic you are passionate of, buy a keyword rich domain name and start your adventure blogging for money. Good luck from now on…

From my interaction with fellow bloggers and my own blogging experience, many new and even seasoned bloggers have these misconception when talking about how to make money blogging. Blogging is big business and like all business, you need effort and intelligence when building it. People blog for various reasons; Google adsense blogs, business blogging, affiliate marketing and among others. Dream would just remain dream to many bloggers. A small percentage (around 1 %) will make it and the rest would just fall off like …. moths. Anyway, here are some myths that you should know:

1. It Is All Dependent on Effort. Hard work is an absolutely necessity, but not sufficient, condition for starting and growing a business. If all your efforts are merely that, all your work will just come out empty handed. The world is stuffed with over-worked, over-stressed, and not terribly prosperous small time personal bloggers who struggle not because of inadequate effort, but for the lack of suitable planning and focus.

2. Should You Blog Frequently enough, traffic will beat its way To your homepage. Really? Can you make a promise to yourself that you can continue your blogging for 3 years or 4 years down the road. Check out Problogger’s archive. HowToBlog.org is nearly 1 year old now but how long is considered long enough?? I have no idea really. I would say, just let your determination carry you through.

3. Just Put An Affilate Banner In your Blog and money will flow in. Correction again. The one best way to sell the affiliates is via reviews; solid reviews. Just like an expert reviewing a new gadget, prior to this, you have to gain trust and build some sort of following.

4. Your Blog Should Be All About You. The myth from the charismatic, “do and be everything” blogger is just that — a myth. People put on different hats when they take on different tasks…including shopping. We are different when we walk into a departmental store as compared to when we are searching for information online. The thing is, we ‘shut off ‘ everything when we surf…e.g. when you type ‘How To Blog’ do you think about handsome hunks or pretty chicks? And one more thing. If you want your personal blog to become profitable, you have to be famous first.

5. You Can’t Rely On Google. Look here. Google is your friend and you gotta believe me. Where would we be if there is no Google? Boy…the net will be owned by Microsoft and Yahoo and I dread to even imagine what would happen if that happened. No ‘Back To The Future’ for me regarding this. I just suck up to Google.

6. Get to The First Page Of Google And You Are There. Sorry to disappoint you. My HowToBlog.org is already in the first page of Google and somehow, my job is still not done!! Someway or another, HowToBlog.org would have to fight her way to the no. 1 spot of Google.com, Google.com.sg, Google.co.uk, Google.co.nz, Google.au, Google.whatever, Yahoo.com, Bing.com….And later, I have to work on other keywords and the cycle just repeat again and again. The work needed, depending on the competitiveness of your keyword.

7. You Have To Become The NExt Google. Google was once very much smaller than Yahoo, so small that it was practically begging for links from the Big Brothers of the nineties….Yahoo, AOL, Netscape… Size is just relative. You don’t have to be as big as Google to quit your job and who says you can’t be bigger than the O’ Mighty One. Look at Facebook and there are thousands of bloggers out there those who are earning enough to turn the wheel of the online economy. Just like the Small and MEdium Industries vs the likes of WalMart, Sony, Procter n Gamble etc.

Therefore, there are some truth in every myth and vice versa. Just continue what you are doing, be it blogging for money, e-commerce, affiliate marketing, small business. Kampate!!

Whether your money making blogs are about finance, insurance, parenting or fetish products, there are certain things you can do for making each post ‘sticky’. Let me share with you a few strategies you can use to make your posts a lot more gripping – regardless of their length or even topic.

Rule of thumb for every post

Keywords and SEO awareness – When settling right down to write your post, don’t launch into the content immediately. Instead, dedicate the initial paragraph to keywords and keyphrases that are widely searched by worldwide readers. Blend your post with stimulating anecdote, a questionable statement, or a knock-out launching sentence, the “bait” that tell your readers that they will learn some new things. This approach has worked well for most bloggers. We are not here to win any writing prizes, we are here to make money blogging. Remember the most simple and obvious choice is usually the best one.

Your main objective is to attract readership. Therefore, omit any sentences or even paragraphs in your article that don’t fall under these two categories:

1. Words and phrases that persuade people to read the article.

2. Words that readers will want to read.

Your posts should, ideally, move from one category on the other. The aim of your current introduction is to connect visitors in: to give these people a reason to read on. The rest of your post must be dedicated to delivering in your earlier promises.

New bloggers usually make the mistake of concentrating too much on ‘selling’ and forget about adding value to whatever your blog is built in the first place.

Deliver on your promises

Your title will have raised certain expectations about what your post is going to provide. Resist the temptation to provide comprehensive background detail or otherwise include too much preamble on the real value as part of your post. Once your intro is finished, get your post started with the main objective in mind.
A useful habit – Start with your very best self point first. Any reader who was held by your introduction may soon lose interest if the content doesn’t make a sudden impact.

Try to link out as much as possible

Once you’ve done your post, go over it and try to spot possibilities to link out to other websites and blogs. It will add more depth and value to what you write. Even leading bloggers will follow upwards a trackback with an intriguing title, so connecting out can be beneficial from a ‘getting noticed’ perspective, way too. However, always keep Google Adsense TOS in your mind though.

A long post with great contents help in Search Engines (SEO)

There are bloggers who write about 500 words per post and there are those who are even to churn out 3000 to 4000 words per post. For me, I’m not a powerful writer although I have loads of knowledge where I want to share with my readers. Couple with this, I have a short attention span so writing thousands of word per post is definitely not me. But, I always try my best to hover around 800 to 1200 words as much as possible.

Add visual attention

A picture is often worth a thousand words. By adding images, shade and formatting in your post, you’re making them more enjoyable to read. There are readers who appeal to writings, pictures and videos. Emphasizing key essay sentences in bold is a simple yet powerful method to make your posts a lot more gripping.

Make a pact with yourselves to add at least one impression to each post you’re posting, even if the post is short (and even if your image is very little). By adding align=”left” or align=”right” or even align=”center” to the HTML tags on your image, you can press your image to the left, right or center regarding surrounding text. Make use of Google Images to search for the image that appeal to you. Lastly, quote the source and link out.

Use ‘I’ and ‘You’

Only a personal blogger can have unique contents. Most of our money making blogs are in crowded niches and most topics have been covered before ( in certain form or another). The only unique part of the process is you and me. Write your blog like you are talking to your personal friend; to someone whom you sincerely want to impart your skill.

Another point to ponder, if you’re covering news in your specific niche market, ask yourself the following inquiries: does this affect myself or someone I am aware? What do I think the implications of the announcement will be?
If you are sharing your thoughts or knowledge to others, ask yourself, how has this knowledge added value in your venture when you first started.

What I’m delivering to you today is little; knowledge I’ve gathered only for 12 months. Add to mine, you will have a new set of ideas that you may be able to apply on your money making blogs. Consider sharing them as well.

What is Wikileaks? Have you ever imagined yourself having a blog as popular as WIkileaks, but for the right reason I mean. Read the story and maybe all of us can get some insights on how to make a blog like this notorious Whistle Blowing site.

Wikileaks is a self-described “not-for-profit press organization,” launched in 2006 with the purposes of disseminating original documents from confidential sources and leakers. Their website says: “Wikileaks will accept restricted or censored content of political, honourable, diplomatic or historical significance. We do not accept rumor, opinion, other varieties of first hand accounts or maybe material that is freely available elsewhere.”

More-detailed details about the history of the group can be found on Wikipedia ( with all the caveats that apply to the rapidly changing Wiki theme). Wikipedia incidentally has nothing regarding Wikileaks-both share the word “Wiki” in the title, but they are certainly not affiliated.

Who is Julian Assange, and what is his role in the Wikileaks organization?

Julian Assange is an Aussie citizen who is believed to have served since the editor-in-chief and spokesperson for Wikileaks due to the fact its founding throughout 2006. Before that will, he was identified as an advisor. Sometimes he could be cited as its originator. The media and also popular imagination currently equate him along with Wikileaks itself, with unstable accuracy.

In 2006, Assange wrote a series of essays that have recently been utilized as an explanation of his political school of thought. A close reading these essays shows that Assange’s particular philosophy is in weight to what he message or calls secrecy-based, authoritarian conspiracy governments, by which category he incorporates the US government and many others certainly not conventionally thought of as authoritarian. Hence, as opposed to espousing a philosophy of radical transparency, Assange is not “about letting sun light into the room so much as about tossing grit in the unit.” For further investigation, check out Aaron Bady’s original writing.

Why is Wikileaks so much in the limelight today?

At the end of The fall of 2010, Wikileaks began to slowly release a trove associated with what it says are 251,287 diplomatic cables acquired through an anonymous origin. These documents came on the heels from the release of the “Collateral Murder” video clip in April 2010, and Afghan and Irak War logs in July 2010 as well as October 2010, which totaled 466,743 documents. The actual combined 718,030 are told originate from a single origin, thought to be U. Azines. Army intelligence analyst Pfc. Bradley Manning, who was arrested inside May 2010, but that’s not confirmed.

Wikileaks released classified materials in the past?

Yes, below an evolving pair of models.

Berkman Fellow Ethan Zuckerman offers some interesting ideas on the development of Wikileaks and its techniques over the years, which will be described in greater fine detail when the Berkman Center podcast concerning Wikileaks is released later this week. In the meantime, here’s a capsule version.

Wikileaks providers moved through 3 phases since its founding in ’06. The first phase, during which it introduced several substantial troves associated with documents related to Nigeria in 2008, Wikileaks operated very much with a normal wiki model: people readership could make an effort to post and edit materials, and it has a say in the sorts of materials that were recognised and how such resources were vetted. The paperwork released in that first phase were approximately a straight get rid of to the Web: almost no organized redacting occurred by Wikileaks.

Wikileaks’s second phase seemed to be exemplified with the release of the “Collateral Murder” video in Apr 2010. The video was a highly curated, produced and packaged political declaration. It was meant to show you a political mindset, not merely to inform.

The next phase is the one particular we currently see while using release of the diplomatic converter cables: Wikileaks working in close addition to a select number of news organizations to evaluate, redact and release your cables in a curated manner, rather than dumping these individuals on the Internet or with these to illustrate one political point of view.

What news organizations get the diplomatic cables and how do they get them?

In line with the Associated Press, Wikileaks provided four news companies (Le Monde, El Pais, The Guard and Der Spiegel) all 251,287 labeled documents before anything was released to the community. The Guardian consequently shared its chest with The New York Situations.

So have all 251,287 files been released to the public?

No. Each of the five news agencies is hosting the written text of at least some of the documents in various forms together with or without the relevant metadata (country involving origin, classification levels, reference ID). This Guardian and Der Spiegel possess performed analyses of the metadata of the whole trove, excluding our bodies text. The Guardian’s evaluation is available for down load from its website.

Wikileaks itself has released ( adjusted December 7, The year 2010) 960 documents out of the overall 251,287. The Associated Press has reported which Wikileaks is only releasing wires in coordination while using the actions of the several selected news agencies. Julian Assange made similar claims in an interview together with Guardian readers with December 3, 2010. Cables are being launched daily as the a few news organizations post articles related to the content.

Is each of the 5 news organizations web hosting all the documents which Wikileaks has released?

Zero. Each of the five reports organizations hosts another selection of the produced documents, in different forms, which may or might not exactly overlap. It’s not clear the amount of they’re coordinating upon releasing new paperwork, since each seems to have a full established and normally papers would be eager to deal one another.

How would be the five news agencies releasing the cabling?

Le Monde has created a credit card applicatoin, developed in conjunction with Linkfluence, which hosts the retrieveable text of several $ 100 or so cables. The text may be searched by the emailer (country of beginning, office or official), date range, persons of curiosity cited in the written documents, classification status, as well as any combination of the aforementioned. Only the untranslated, English text message of the cables could be accessed and cut-and-paste is not available.

El Pais offers use of more than 200 converter cables, available in the original British or in Spanish translation, searchable by country associated with origin and key terms and subjects ( for instance “Google and China”). These looks also return El Pais posts written on a offered subject, often inserted ahead of the cables within the search listings. The paper also offers some sort of “How to read a diplomatic cable” feature, explaining what every one of the abbreviations and technical vocabulary mean in simply speak, posted upon November 28, The year 2010.

The Guardian affords the cable data in many forms: It has done an analysis involving metadata of the total 251,287-document trove, and made the item available in several forms (spreadsheets hosted on the internet Docs and in online form) as well as infographics.

Source: Msnbc.Msn

This Guardian also serves at least 422 cables in its website, searchable by subject, coming initially from country, and countries referenced.

The New York Occasions hosts what it phone calls a “selection of the docs from a cache of the quarter-million confidential American diplomatic cables that WikiLeaks intends to create public starting upon November 28. The webpage goes on to state “A small number of names in addition to passages in some in the cables have been taken off by The New York Occasions to protect diplomats’ confidential options, to keep from diminishing American intelligence work or to protect the particular privacy of regular citizens.”

Your documents are not searchable and are organized by means of general subject.

That is responsible for redacting the files? What actions does Wikileaks take to ensure that people were not put in danger by publication from the documents?

According to the Linked Press and phrases released by Wikileaks and Julian Assange, Wikileaks is currently relying on the expertise of the five news businesses to redact the cords as they are released, and it’s following their redactions mainly because it releases the documents on its web page. (This cannot be approved without examining the original documents, which we’ve got not done-nor are we relating to them here.) Based on the BBC, Julian Assange approached the U.S. State Team for guidance on redacting the documents prior to their own release. One can think about the State Department’s dilemma at this time there: assist and risk legitimating the enterprise; really don’t assist and possibility poor redaction. In a community letter, Harold Koh, legal agent to the Department of State, declined to assist the organization and needed the return in the documents.

Are the documents hosted anywhere else on-line? What is the “insurance” file?

In late July 2010, Wikileaks is considered to have posted for you to its Afghan War Firewood site, and to the torrent site a encrypted file together with “insurance” in the name. This file, which seemingly can still be found on a variety of peer-to-peer networks, is 1.4 gigabytes and is encrypted with AES256, an incredibly strong encryption standard which would make it nearly impossible to open devoid of the password. What is inside the insurance file just isn’t known. It has been theorized that it contains the unredacted cabling provided by the original supplier(s), as well as other, previously unreleased information held simply by Wikileaks. There is further rumours, which has been ultimately boosted by Julian Assange, that the key to the record will be distributed in the instance of either the loss of life of Assange or the exploitation of Wikileaks as a performance organization. However, probably none of these things may be known. All that is known for confident is that it’s a really big file along with heavy encryption that is certainly already in a number of folk’s hands and boating for others to get.

What the results are if Wikileaks gets power down? Can it be shut down?

This will depend on what’s intended by “Wikileaks” and what is considered meant by “shut decrease.”

Julian Assange has made transactions suggesting that if Wikileaks gets nonfunctional as an organization, the important thing to the encrypted “insurance” record will be released ( the important thing itself is not a major document and could most probably fit into Twitter announcements). The actual machination of precisely how such a “dead man’s switch” would release the key is unfamiliar. If the key were released, and if the actual encrypted insurance data file contains unredacted and unreleased secret documents, then individuals decrypted files would be accessible to many people nearly instantaneously. Wikileaks claimed in June that the insurance data file had been downloaded over 100,000 occasions.

Wikileaks apparently maintains a smaller paid staff-who and where is not exactly with a “people” page, though at this time there used to be a physical S.O. box australia wide where documents may very well be sent-and is additionally supported by volunteers, suspected to be at most several thousand. So, would it not be possible for any motivated organization to be able to disrupt its real-world commercial infrastructure? Yes, probably. Even so, at this point, it is not useful to recover the information the business has already distributed ( which include the entire trove connected with diplomatic cables to the click as well as whatever is within the encrypted insurance file), as well as any other undistributed data the organization might seek to release. So in terms of the recovery of released information, the downfall of Wikileaks as an organization could matter little.

Additionally, there appear to be currently more than 1, Thousand sites mirroring Wikileaks and its written content. Wikileaks has made available downloadable files containing it’s entire archive involving released materials up to now.

On a more specialized level, the Wikileaks web page can come under strike, and its means of collecting money can be made additional difficult.

Therefore, not only we do we learn how to make a blog that is powerful, we will also learn what not to do to keep ourself on the favorable radar of all those authorities. You want a long and fruitful life when you make money blogging right?

It’s all in the crystal ball. You will going to make money blogging, no doubt about it!

You have what you think a killer domain name at your disposal. And the best thing is, you know you are going to love this niche, maybe not passionate but you don’t mind learning more about it so that you won’t run out of ideas for your blog. Therefore, the little gungho newbie started doing everything listed in HowToBlog.org…getting a great web host; installing WordPress…. If you happen to be new to this blog, feel free to download my free eguide I created about 6 months ago for reference. Don’t expect perfect grammar ok

After 4 months, with a new post for at least every week, surprisingly you still find your visitors to hover around 10 to 15 a day. Oh oh… Ok let’s go through a checklist of all things possible.

1. Your Domain Name

There are two possibilities here:

a. You have gotten yourself into a very competitive niche. Check the keyword. If it is “Mesothelioma” for example, you can see that the cpc in Google Adwords for this niche is around USD 200. Impressive but only God and Google will know how long you would have to slog before you see yourself in the first 20 pages of any search engine. Too much competition is bad for your staying power and mental health if your main intention is purely to make money blogging.

b. Your niche is too small. The niche may have a small following or it is so new that years maybe needed for it to pick up momentum. “Digital Amplifier” for example. Even if you make it to the top of Google, don’t party yet. 800 searches per month would only translate to about 10 visitors in the first 3 months and maybe another 30 in the following 6 months. And it’s so easy to get to number 1 spot in Google if your domain happens to be DigitalAmplifier.com or DigitalAmp.com.

2. You Don’t do SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

The secret here is keywords. Produce articles with different keywords early in your blogging. For competitive niche, aim for long tailed keywords. On examples above, “mesothelioma prognosis”, write ten articles about this. Then another ten on other keyphrases ( the number of articles really depends on the competitiveness). By the way, “mesothelioma” or even “asbestos poisoning” are bloody fierce niches and I won’t advise you to start anything on these. For less competitive niches, it should be easier. Start targetting on other keywords like “auto digital amp” and more so that your visitors come in via various channels.

Keywords are branches in the brick and mortar world. In online business like money making blogs, you can branch out with only one single blog or if you have the resources, buy other domain names.

The next is backlinks. If content with proper keywords is king, building links is the queen. Forget about soliciting links from other bloggers if you don’t have the time. Just use directories with high page ranks and articles submission. Do it slowly.

3. Wrong Mentality

I could never coach you on “How To Make Money Blogging Overnight”. I doubt anybody could. It’s a marathon. Build it and it will come does not echo in blogging money. The little money I earn from affiliates and other cpc programs like Google Adsense, Infolinks are all hard earned cash. Some will make it faster, I don’t know but my advise to you is to be prepared for the long haul.

4. Bad Business Plan

Remember I shared with you once on free online blogging tools. Use these tools to determine what you wanna do for your niche. Some niches are highly commercialize, hence their strong potential in e-commerce. Others are more about information and service marketing. The rule of thumb here is, “Don’t Go Against The Trend”. If it’s meant to sell tangible goods, don’t divert yourself away from merely Chitika and Google Adsense.

5. Writing For Your Audience

Famous bloggers always preach about writing contents for your audience and not the search engines. Let me advise you about this. If you want to make money blogging, you have to write for your audience and at the same time keep your contents searchable in Google and Yahoo. You need both new visitors and old supporters. A good ranking in search engines would put you in a promising position to receive new clients. Therefore, if you just thought about your audience, you will fail.

6. Unfocus Topics

I preach this again and again. If your niche is about mesothelioma, don’t write things about carpentry and your dating conquest in the blog. You are wasting away the earning potential of your killer name domain. Google and gang do not look kindly on blogs that feature about all things under the sun. These are personal blog and they are what we call weblogs or online diaries. If money making blogs is in your mind, don’t waste your time and start focusing.

7. Burnt Out

This can be cause from various reasons. One primary reason is greed. A lot of newbies failed in their venture because they took on too may blogs at one time. Start with one blog and continue with the second only when you know what you can potentially do with the second one. Start thinking like a business man when you want to start the third blog. The question in mind is, why waste your grey matters by diversifying into so many niches. You can focus better when managing less.

8. Duplicate Content

Many new bloggers, who in their midst of enthusiasm decided to copy other bloggers’ contents, thinking that they can get their blog up Google search this way. True, they are all contents and you will have loads of them in no time. However, they are all junks in the eye of search engines. You might still get your site through if you are in a low-competitive niche. However, if you are in niches that are even fractions as competitive as “mesothelioma”, you are in for disappointment. And the last thing you know, you’ll be telling people that making money blogging is pure hoax.

A guru once said, only 1 in 99 bloggers managed to make money from blogging. Get one to two money making blogs running, and milk their income by hiring others to write for you. Now, we are talking business here.

There are various ways to make money blogging apart from merely building Google Adsense Blog. Fortunately, we have bloggers among us whom are blessed with business acumen, and found different ways to build true blue money making blogs.

If you are keen to take your blogs to a different level, here are some suggestions that you may try out.

1. Seek Out Advertising

This is invariably the most common means of utilizing a blog to create income. If you happen to own a popular blog that commands growing traffic, or one that is well-received inside a particular niche, it certainly is possible to sell advert space on your own. With regard to Bing Blogs as well as services such as Google’s AdSense or BlogAds, writers can establish advert programs. AdSense’s – that lets you select a number of ads that are consistent with the content of your weblog – pays a person based on how many visitors click on the ads for more information. Even better, it is free. BlogAds, on the other hand, barbs bloggers up with would-be marketers and levies the commission in return for any kind of ad placements which result.

2. Join Affiliate Programs

Here is another way to milk the online traffic. Affiliate programs enable your blog to serve as a business platform between solution hungry visitors and online value providers offering numerous goods and services. There are Clickbank, Amazon, Commission Junction and many others.

For example, you offer e-guide reviews or even mention a book within a page in your blog, the affiliate program will offer an affiliate link from your blog page to the service provider. If sales happen, you get a commission via the provider.

3. Solicit donation for your effort

Not every money making blogs entails hawking goods or selling services. Look at StevePavlina.com. He makes a lot of money by getting readers to donate to his blog. All you need is to open your mouth and request.Request contributions. If, for example, your small-business blog facilitates a cause or concern in some fashion — say you frequently mention tax reform, health care or another topic – you could ask for reader assistance. Even if you’ve drawn a group of regular fans who simply appreciate reading what you need to say, they may be prepared to pledge their loyalty with some financial help. You can use PayPal to create a simple collection button for your site. Just realize that people are prepared to contribute to worthy ’cause’ blogs due to the value added extras injected by these blogs to these individuals’ lives.

4. Market your service using your blog

Blogs are a perfect venue to share your ideas with others, but do not overlook their capability to generate new business too. When used effectively, it can work as a global reference to your profession or expertise and, in turn, this may be able to pull in potential clients for you, sort of like an online retail.

This kind of business blogs work best if you are an attorney, insurance professional or even real estate negotiators. Offer your advice FOC via your blog and good karma will follow.

5. Use your blog for PR

You can use microblogging platforms (also known as Social Medias) like LinkedIn, Facebook and even Twitter for this purpose. For me, I prefer my own blog. By using a blog to regularly keep in touch with existing clients along with other potentials, you can make use of the opportunity to fully inform them about everything your company does. You want to serenade your customers into having deeper relationship with you and what better way than to keep them updated on your company’s activity and latest offering. You might be interested to find a way to compile their email addresses so that you can bring the relationship to a higher level by using an email management system or an autoresponder.

So you see, there are really unlimited ways to put your blog into a money generating machine that suits you. Your avenue or shall I say, our avenues are only limited by our own creativity. Therefore open up your horizon and see what you wanna do.

Remember the first time you build your first Google Adsense blog. The definition of a Google Adsense blog is one of those money making blogs which derives its main revenue from adsense clicks.

Most of us envisioned raking in lorry loads of money per month by building money making blogs merely with incorporating Google Adsense into the main page, the post and money will come racing in . Sadly, hard reality sets in when they see their Adsense accounts displaying 5 cents and the most 20 cents per click. Nothing to shout about the click thru rate; only 1 %. This is the stage where the new blogger comes to term with the harsh reality of trying to make money from blogging. Duration in reaching this stage: at least 6 treacherous months.

As a result, is Google Adsense still the way to go?

The answer depends on yourself. You see, in order to effectively monetize a Google Adsense blog, you need considerable amount of traffic. Mind you, I’m not talking about just any traffic!

Numerous bloggers claim to be expert in Social Media Marketing like Twittering and they spend ample time writing articles along with submitting them to the popular Social Bookmarking sites like Squidoo and Digg all in the divine quest to drive traffics to their blog. While this may increase targeted traffic to a blog, the idea rarely translates into clicks their Adsense ads.

Therefore, if you’re one of those smart bloggers who’s still chasing traffic from Social Media sites and wondering why your Google Adsense account is neigh, I just have to share with you on the hard reality. People who mingle in Social networks are too ‘Net savvy and they also don’t click ads. They read blogs purely for entertainment rather than for the information that comes from the blog. It all depends really what are the agendas in the mind of these Social visitors. The chances are, they won’t find anything worthwhile to click in your Adsense.

Similarly, just ask yourself when is the last time you lobbied to your friends in Facebook to take a look into your new blog post. On and off, your effort may successfully drive a sudden surge in traffics to them. But do you see any ‘Ka-ching’ in your Adsense account? I don’t know about you but I’m usually dissapointed.

Organic Traffic Is What You Should Focus On!

Let’s stop and ponder for a moment.

When a surfer is searching for some new knowledge, they yearn for it and they want it yesterday! Therefore most of us will stop at nothing online till we find that elusive information we need. We click on this or that, after all we are frantic searchers and we hungry for that information!

For example. Let’s say your debt is piling and you need instant solution in how to pay your next petrol and shopping bills. You need some credit card debt relief. So you go on onto Google and type in ‘debt relief’. You then click on the first result that promises you quick and uncomplicated debt relief. After you look at site for a few moments, you realize this site can’t answer your questions as well as you’ll have to go elsewhere. There’s an Adsense advert block to the higher left with a statement about instant debt relief. Voila! Go ahead, that might be just what you are looking for. Even if it’s not, there’s nothing to lose really.

You see, we put on different hats when we surf the net. If I’m looking for a particular information, in this case ‘credit relieve’, I’ll struck the Adsense link each and every time if it will direct me to what I am looking for. And do you know what? The Webmaster or weblog owner gets the maximum payout for your innocent click because you found the site by searching for the word ‘credit relief’.

On the other hand, if I was surfing to a site trying to find ‘How To Be A Successful Online Entrepreneur”and then clicked on the same advertising, chances are the webmaster this time might not have received the maximum payout for that particular click. Tis’ the reason why some of your Adsense chalking up 0.20 cents whereas there are some which only give 1 or 2 cents. In a nutshell, Google will pay you in accordance to the kind of audience that come in and click on your site.

Therefore, What Kind Of Adsense Blog Is Best?

This is actually the real secret to Ad-sense and how to help it become pay the most for each and every click. If you have a blog or website which ranks well for a number of key phrases and your pages are optimized to bring in targeted search traffic, you will do well with Adsense. Your blog doesn’t need to be a custom made Live journal blog nor does it have to end up being fancy. In fact, you can start with one of those Google adsense optimized themes.

SEO is the most important aspect you should focus on if you want to build successful Google Adsense Blogs. Forget about the Social Networking and about getting this post Dugg and Stumbled. Why bother when you know it’s not going to convert and the worst part is it’s going to wreck your click through rate. For all your hard work, imagine getting a big discount by Google. Shoot for the money. And in this instance, the money is in standing well for your key words and driving unique audiences from targeted organic search readers to your blog or website. Your current blog or website should focus only on one subject, for example ‘debt relief’.

Don’t try to make a blog or website cover everything under the sun. Each and every page of your website should have an article or perhaps post covering one search term. For example, if you had a new blog over the primary keyword of ‘paint ball’, then you’d probably want the interior pages targeting keywords such as ‘paintball guns’, ‘paint ball gears’, ‘how to play great paintball’ or ‘demolish your opponents with the best paintball strategy’. While you’re from it, make sure your own blog or website is optimized for Adsense.

Do not stuff every page with Adsense ads. The top spending ad block is normally a 350 x 250 or 250 x 250 block at the top left hand corner of your post. You may also want to try out the tower banner in the sidebar, but honestly I don’t see much Ka-ching from that. Previously, I used to scatter little Google adsense link blocks on my own sites, but have always done poorly with them. It is found that most people prefer to click on Adsense ads in the body.

Do you see how many Adsense block I put in Howtoblog.org now? Only two in the homepage and one in the post. More advertisements normally dilute your click payout because Google Adsense is smart enough to divert your readers click to the other site without opening a new window. Therefore, your reader is diverted away from your site already.

In a nutshell, if you really want to build money making blogs with your Google Adsense account, and maximizing the ROI of your Google Adsense blog, forget about those cool Social Networks, opt for a keyword targeted website or blog. Search Engine Optimized them, construct backlinks to make it list well for your chosen keywords and then relax and watch the Adsense money roll in.

Remember on my last post when I told you that “When all else failed, you would still have your Google Adsense account to fall back back on…”

It always amaze me how bloggers could get their Google Adsense account banned. I read these kinds of post all the time and yes it leaves me scratching my own head. It’s not hard to follow the Google Adsense Terms of Service.

Source: rptech-world.com

Basically, there are two kinds of people who would resort to such “online suicide”. Yes, the day that you decide to build money making blogs online, you have to admit to the fact that you have to submit yourself to the almighty lord of the internet called Google. This group of around 20,000 people actually control the matrix of a powerful search engine and your survival do depend on their whims and fancy. Therefore, if you choose to deliberately push the limits just to test our lord, well, I don’t know whether you can still count on God to save you here. If you know there’s a potential for getting your account blacklisted and please don’t be surprised when you are caught ok.

And there are those of you who do not take the time to read the TOS and so are crushed when you get your “terminated” notice from Google Adsense Group. For those of you who are really anxious to feel the wrath of Google and can’t wait to have your Google Adsense account assasinated, here are the ways leading to the internet hell.

1. Deliberately click on your own advertisements. Yes, accidents do happen. However when one is so accident prone that one just click on your ads 10 times in 5 minutes, well serve you right! If you do unintentionally click on your ads, contact Google Adsense instantly and let them know what happened.

2. Asking others to click on your ads. If lord Google says don’t to do it, DON’T. As simple as that. I’ve seen video’s and other forms of advertisements where dumb goons asked people to click on their ads. Come on man. Even if you are broke, you are not warranted to cheat. My opinion is, it’s great that you get banned!

3. Taking part in a “Adsense Click Ring”. You can actually outsource groups of people to click on your ads. My friend told me once that Google has more PhDs working for them than the number of citizens residing in Penang. It’s a joke of course but my point is, only a fool would think that he can outsmart Google.

4. Put Google Adsense on websites that have questionable or even banned content such as Porn, Drug and also Gambling sites.

5. Showing Adsense ads on Registration or “Thank You” pages. I’m not too sure about this but better to be on the safe side.

6. Firmly sticking ad relevant images next to your Adsense blocks. For instance, tricking people to select your ads by getting pictures of the latest OLED TV close to an Adsense block advertising TV ads.

7. Enrolling multiple accounts. I’ll simply say it’s possible to get multiple accounts legitimately. Nonetheless, for most of us, one particular account is sufficed.

8. Registering another account after you have been banned. There is no such thing as just ‘Forgive and Forget’. Email Google and ask for forgiveness. But don’t put too much hope.

9. Putting Google Adsense on Pop Ups which keep generating other pop-ups when a user tries to close them. This thing used to happen 2 to 3 years ago and rest assured, these people should have been assassinated by now. Such dirty trick raises the “impression rate” as a result messing with the code that Google uses.

10. Disclosing click through rates, earnings per click as well as impressions. I don’t really have problem with this, Ad-sense TOS says not to do this, so I don’t. Their money, their rules. Anyway, I prefer to keep my earnings secret.

11. Using malicious automation software such as ‘bots’ to click on your ads. Again, it is not going to take a rocket scientist to know this is bad. We don’t feel sorry for these types of people either.

12. Putting Adsense in pages with no written content. Some people will set up pages with nothing with the exception of ads on them.

13. Using the services of overseas workers to visit your ads. There are firms/individuals who just click on Adsense adverts. Do you really consider Google can’t figure that one out? But if you have a legitimate site and you wish to park your domain, there is such thing as Adsense for parked domains; so just use this.

14. Creating Made For Google adsense Websites. Google is beginning to really crack down on websites that are made simply for Adsense.

15. Putting Adsense ads on Hate websites. Google tries hard to have a good relationship with businesses so, don’t do it.

16. Stuff keywords to get your site on the first page of Google. A classic Black Hat SEO. Google considers this a big NO and may eliminate your account for it.

17. Putting Adsense on websites that will promote guns & rounds, beer or hard alcoholic beverages, tobacco, prescription drugs, copyrighted infringement content, knockoff garments or goods and websites that distribute term documents or essays.

18.Using too much profanity. I’m not positive who decides what “excessive” is, but Google will ban your Adsense for it damnit! There are more, nevertheless the ones listed above are the ones I see violated the most.

Remember, Google Adsense Revenue is the no. 1 asset that a new blogger should be vigilante about. Therefore always guard your Google Adsense Account with your life!

Let’s not give ourselves undue stress by aiming for that Millionaire blogger status just yet. Very few bloggers are able to achieve the level of blog revenue that professional bloggers like Darren Rowse, Chris Brogan and Steve Pavlina have achieved. Yet you can absolutely learn how to make money with a blog!

Blogosphere stats

133,000,000 – number of blogs indexed by Technorati since 2002

346,000,000 – number of people globally who read blogs (comScore March 2008)

900,000 – average number of blog posts in a 24 hour period

1,750,000 – number of RSS subscribers to TechCrunch, the most popular Technology blog (January 2009)

77% - percentage of active Internet users who read blogs

55% – percentage of the blogosphere that drinks more than 2 cups of coffee per day

81 - number of languages represented in the blogosphere

59% – percentage of bloggers who have been blogging for at least 2 years

Source: Technorati

There are 133 million blogs out there since 2002 and in all probability less than 1000 might have achieved the Million dollar income – less than 0.001% of blogs! Remember, you don’t need to earn $ 1 Million to be independent, just a few thousands per month that’s all you need. Sound easier now? I have a friend, who is neither a superstar blogger nor a genius, but is currently earning enough from his money making blogs to support 2 adults and 3 beautiful children. His income? Around $ 20,000 per month.

The question is, can the rest of us make it to this ivy league? The answer is yes, you can make money from blogging! Given enough time, it isn’t only possible, it is likely that most hard working and persistent bloggers can accumulate enough bucks to quit their rat race and even start a blog business. We will explore the know-how in making money with blogs in this article.

If you are looking for a get-rich rapid scheme, this article is not for you. Accumulating tens of thousands of dollars is a long-term process. I’m refering to at least 5 years of consistently building a number of money making blogs. The problem lies with discipline and persistency; not about technicalities.

Fist Thing First, Start A Blog

If you have already done this, then forget about this section. Otherwise these are the steps: Many bloggers advise that you start on a free blog. However, HowToBlog.org will never condone this. Get a domain and don’t waste time on free blogs. Please refer to my old post and e-book.

1. How to set up a blog

2. Blogging with a keyword rich domain

As a result, the most recommended solution to start a blog is to find you own domain name and use free blogging software package such as WordPress to create your blog. This may call for some research on your part and a bit of technical knowledge, but this will give you the most flexibility. It will also need an initial investment of approximately $10 for the domain name plus $5 – 6 a month for the hosting fees (if you follow diligently to the advise in HowToBlog.org, you can recoup this monthly fee with all the income from your blog within a few months).

You initial goal should be to make an income of $300 a month from your blog. Why $300 you may ask? Firstly, this is an amount that most people should be able to attain after one year of blogging. Yes, there are some bloggers who may have the ability to make a lot more than $300 a month, and yet for most people this is a challenge. The goal is really achievable. Second, $300 is important for you because this is the critical amount whereby you could actually start expanding on what you have . Assuming you will have regarding $20 a month in expenses, ($10*15 in hosting service fees, plus other miscellaneous costs) you need to create $320 a month to be able to net $300 revenue.

How To Make Money With A Blog?

You may need about one year to bring your blog to the tipping point of income generation. We could not speculate on how much you will be able to make in the first year, however you should be able to generate income right from the start, enough to cover your domain and web host expenditure. You might consider not monetizing the blog in the first half a year as recommended by many blogging gurus.

After half a year year, here is what you should do:

Google Adsense: The most basic monetization and also the most reliable. This should account for the major portion of your revenues.

Infolinks: Infolinks provides unique text advertising within your blog posts that should make about $40 per month.

Direct ads: These are advertisements you will sell straight to sponsors. They could be banners and ads or text links, and the thing is, it doesn’t come easy.

Other: They’re other miscellaneous sources upon income, including ad networks such as Direct Media Exchange, Text Link Ads, affiliate sales, etc. These kinds of combined miscellaneous sources of cash flow should generate about $70 per month. With your sources of revenue a person should be able to generate a total of $300 per month. A person may be able to help make even more than $300 per month.

But I must warn you, apart from Google Adsense, the other techniques are not easy revenue to achieve. Please follow strictly to the rules set by Google Adsense because when all else fail, Adsense is still the one you could count on.

Work Needed

Once your blog is up and running, you’ll require to write 2 to 3 articles every week on a constant basis on a subject you’re passionate about. and have some information of. As any pro-blogger will tell you, to be able to be profitable you’ll need great contents posted in your blog. Don’t worry, you can still take a break on and off. Have you forgotten, your blog is online 24 hours per day. However, constant contents do make your blog rank faster.

To be able to write great contents you’ve to focus on your niche topic. You’ll also require to advertise your website to be able to attract visitors. There are lot of methods to advertise you site. Among them, using Social Networks like Twitter, Facebook, Stumble Upon; Social Bookmarking Sites like Digg, Reddit, Propeller, Mister Wong; Article marketin (I hate this!!) like ezine, GoArticles etc.

What To Do After Achieving $300?

Now is the time to really let the entrepreneur within you flourish. What are you going to do? Are you contented by merely $300 per month? There is only so much you can do with only one person doing all the work 3 to 4 hours every day aftre work. This is where I would like you to put on your thinking cap and really think like a businessman.

This is your first assignment after following my blog for 10 months? Share with us how shall we make use of the $300 per month to grow our blog business?
