Learn How To Blog With 7 WOW Factors!
How To Blog For Newbies Day 11
The WoW! factor. Books talk about it. Conglomerates preach about it in strategic meetings. Marketeers look for it to create customer loyalty. And now you are going to venture on how to blog with these Wow factors, intact!
Let’s ask yourself these questions. What makes the Wow factor? What makes you attracted to a website or a blog and want to visit them everyday? Now that you are a blogger, probably you need a more detached opinion to answer these questions.
You see, when you start reading these Wow factors, they are actually some no brainers. You know them and yet, you failed to make use of them.
Wow Factor 1 – Provide quick fix
Recall how you look for instant gratification when buying a product. An experiment was done not too long ago on a group of 5 years old. All of them were put in a room individually with a candy. The little boys and girls could each take 3 candies if they could resist eating that one candy for, if I’m not mistaken 5 minutes. Guess what? Nearly all of them could not resist the temptation.

Consumers purchase with certain degree of impulse. We buy when we feel attach to the item. Try using some push strategy like “special discount if you buy now”, “free for 2 months if you register now”.
Wow factor 2: Review and Comments by others
Try to integrate reviews on products from other readers. eBay does it. Amazon does it.
We feel more encourage to make a purchase when a product receives good review from other users. This phenomena is called social validation. This scenario also works out in the stock market. Remember how you were encouraged to buy a certain share after receiving “tips” by your friendly broker whose only sin is trying to be helpful.
Reviews could trigger our brain to jump into decision when we are stuck from making a choice. Put ratings coupled with favourable reviews to pull online customers’ interest.
Wow factor 3 – Conjure scarcity
Consumers love scarcity. How many of you can resist buying an item when being told that it is a collector’s item?
A premium can be tagged on an item by conjuring up an impression of scarceness. We will fight for it, and there are people who might kill to get hold of a limited edition replica.
Thus, give an impression of limited offering by showing a low stock quantity. Even if you have a store load of stocks, resist the temptation to push off your load by giving discounts. Discounts would give your ploy away. People always feel good when we obtain an object of perceived value.

Wow factor 4 -Sex and Beauty Sell
Ever been bored and don’t know what to do. What do most guys drawn to when they are bored? Play Soduko? I doubt it. Most visit porn sites!!
Just look at your web host; Godaddy, iPage or others. Most of them use a pretty lady in the front page of their site. They all imply an image of sex through bodily expressions and gestures.

Observe, even the technical support chat of these sites put a picture of a lady, implicating that you could be chatting to a pretty lass. Let your imagination run wild when you are asking for technical support at the same time. Although chances are, the ’she’ could turn out to be a ‘he’.
Wow factor 5 – Bundling
This is an old marketing trick. Showcase a bundled package at a reduce price along with the desired product. By doing this, you would be able to sell your not so popular goods with the popular ones. By giving discounts, many consumer would find it hard to resist the offer.
Wow factor 6 – Build relationship by offering free gift and service
Why is Google getting more and more successful by the day? When Microsoft started to monopolise the operating system market, the netizens were up in arms. However, when Google started to take over the search engine game, we were still happy. Why?
We naturally feel indebted when somebody offered us free services. We are ready to reciprocate the favour when given a chance to show our gratitude. Most of us would jump at the chance to support Google’s next product when the chance came. I did not hesitate to install Google Chrome as my main browser although my computer comes with an IE8. And I won’t hesitate to use Google OS when the chance come, just to pledge my support to that someone who is far sighted enough not to make money out of every damn thing!
Wow factor 7 – Allign yourself with your audience
Use “you” and “we” as much as you can when talking to your audience. Talk to them like you are talking to your friend.
