I started it in normal mode, and logged on, but after loading from the log on screen, it went to a black screen with just the cursor, and stayed there. As you power on the computer tap F8. It seemed to be working fine in normal mode. There are two different scenarios that we are going to talk. When i uninstalled the graphics driver it allowed me back onto windows normally except when i reinstalled the driver (on the normal version of windows not saftey) after the restart it

This will take the system back to original factory settings. try in another computer. If it does, you can go back into msconfig and start enabling startup items again until you find the one that is messing you up. Please let me know if you find a solution!

I restarted into Safe Mode, logged in as Administrator, and disable the onboard video in Device Manager. wow finally go back to BIOS and restore the auto config done! I've tried disabling the display drivers and restarting, that worked momentarily, but froze shortly after.
I took the disc out, restarted my computer, and whamo bamo it was fixed. 10/12/2016 by Lydia Sorensen I have a Samsung wholse screen will work for a while then turn Restart the computer This will uninstall and reinstall the driver for the wireless card. I don't know what to do, so I just try to turn off the screen and then turn it on a few minutes later. Which could mean you may have to reinstall Windows XP, but there are a couple things you could try first.I would suggest you try a repair install of XP to see
