How do I get administrative rights to be able to do anything in Win 7 ? I.e. Requires Elevation - What does that mean and what do I do? So my questions are:1) Why won't it keep that setting as pure admin.2)Whats the difference between "HomeUsers; Administrators"/"Other" and Just administrator.3)How do I fix this or is there a solution.Thank you Source

However, whenever I try to do anything that only admins can do (ie: run a few cmd commands), I receive a message that I don't have the privileges. and I can't change to anything other than the standard user. If you ordered pizza and there's a guy standing there with a pizza box, then it's probably a lot safer to open the door than if it's someone you don't know.
